update: The text that appears in the “Search” bar is now just “Search”. The word “Twitter” is gone. But it doesn’t say “X” either. LOL, what if they simply chose a color for the text that matches the background, like white text on a white document? Oh that would be epic. Too bad the text isn’t selectable, or I could test the theory…

Taken the plunge, Twitter account deactivated, T minus 30 days and counting :reverse_birb: After spending the past couple of months here, the only thing I miss from Twitter is the people I've followed for years and years... Who are slowing moving here anyway... I would have kept my account open, but hearing that they're planning on pimping out my phone number for advertising... Well, that bird doesn't fly with me.

Grateful though I am to be here on Mastodon, I miss being able to tweet on Twitter.

So I am experiencing schadenfreude watching Musk destroying the platform he overpaid for.

He's too rich to suffer that much even if he completely ruins it, so it is sad that a platform that was pretty good.
