#C19Periodicals folks: any ideas about where I might find the weekly periodical "Lady's Pictorial" (1880-1912)? It's not on @patrickleary's wonderful VRW list of open periodicals; nor did I find it in C19, British Periodicals, or BL Newspapers? I'm curios about the serialization {6 Jan - 24 Mar 1894} of Hepworth Dixon's _The Story of a Modern Woman_.
Really enjoyed listening to Dr. Alexis Easley discuss her research, the fabulous and subversive Eliza Cook, and how she {Alexis} approaches her teaching. Plus, Alexis reads Cook's poetry with such verve and attentiveness.
Enjoy!
Working with Peter Morton's fabulous #bibliography of #GrantAllen's writings. The data on nonfiction shows an interesting pattern: The #CornhillMagazine prints an essay, and then two less-familiar-to-me #C19Periodicals--Living Age + Eclectic Magazine of Foreign Lit, Science, & Art--#reprint it. This happens 4x in 1890 alone.
Does this particular reprinting stream ring any bells? #Curious
