The CCP4 suite: integrative software for macromolecular crystallography

I swear to god Paul Bond & Kathryn Cowtan's Modelcraft is absolute bloody witchcraft.
Knocks 20% of the rFree from a shitty MR solution in 15 minutes, and even detects silly things like you've crystalised a dimer of proteolytic fragments, rather than a single monomer.

Looking forwards to getting back to #CCP4 #CCP4SW in person in the new year. I think it will be quite a different meeting from pre-pandemics (much more online attendance and interaction) but I am excited for it.

Has anyone tried CCP4 on OSX Ventura yet?

Ok, structural #glycotime folks: together with Garib, Rob and Keitaro (MRC-LMB) we’re re-doing and testing the #CCP4 restraint dictionaries for #GlycosidicLinks using #AceDRG and #Privateer MKIV.
Are there any links we’ve missed in previous iterations of the monomer library?
What sort of checks would you like us to do to make sure the dictionaries are up to scratch?
We’re currently checking R/Rfree, rmsd, ring conformation, RSCC on deposited vs old_monlib vs new_monlib post-refinement.
