167 followers · 106 posts · Server hci.socialTrying something new here: I'm currently working my way through my list of #CHI2023 papers and found some time today to read @dan_bennett @elisamekler , Oussama Metatla, and Anne Roudaut's paper on Agency and Autonomy in HCI. It's quite packed with different views and (lacks of) definition of the concepts in HCI, and the authors suggest to more closely focus on different aspects (self-causality, identity, experience vs. material expression, time scales, independence vs. interdependence).
