I know it was heavily rumored to happen, but I'm still pretty shocked #AEW announced the #CMPunk return.

Kinda surprised the whole thing has happened at all. I think everyone realized that there was a lot of money to be made and moved past previous issues.

Reports of a rather bad take from Britt Baker on the infamous #AEWAllOut media scrum featuring #CMPunk's overdue response to months of gaslighting and wrongful allegations about him getting Colt Cabana demoted. The idea that people should simply bury abuse - particularly from management - for the good of the corporation, is awful (and pretty absurd when we're talking about a star who made his name for literally being a punk and wearing his heart on his sleeve).

It's simple. If you're coming on here and going out your way to post abuse at this account without exposing yourself to actual reporting on the #CMPunk situation, you'll have to be blocked. Tired of constant unprovoked abuse for having a position on this that doesn't match a popular narrative. Swear some of these people just trawl the Fediverse for anyone mentioning Punk in a positive context. Similar to how Sean Ross Sapp searches for his own name on Twitter. Unhealthy and embarrassingly grim.

Reports that #ThunderRosa had to "make amends" at an #AEW backstage meeting are what they are, but suggesting #CMPunk would have to do something similar upon returning is absurd. Punk did admit at the #AllOut media scrum he'd probably regret venting, but Hangman, Kenny, and the Bucks provoked the whole mess in the first place, and they're the party who'd have to make amends -- one was the instigator, the other three were management yet aggressors who'd aided and abetted Hangman all the way.

@WrestlingFusion @RussStevens @MooneyTunes The sentiment on #CMPunk has been quite clear from #AEW management for a while now - and god forbid anyone dare deviate from that narrative of demonising Punk. Money left on the table.

I suppose if industry figures and fans accepted a dominant narrative that - as recent Left Fist podcast episodes have examined - were shaky at best, it might make sense that the #DaxHarwood #FTR show is somehow "controversial," but the gossip about this the last few days has still been incredibly disproportionate. Dax's insight came across as authentic, measured, and as mentioned, very very diplomatic. But, hey, if he doesn't demonise #CMPunk, he's somehow wrong.

4. Todos los Luchadores utilizan #drogas / #esteroides / son #adictos: No es tan así, pero el uso de drogas es desafortunadamente un problema muy enraizado. A fines de los 80 y principios de los 90, muchos luchadores tomaban esteroides, ya que los promotores estaban interesados en luchadores muy grandes. #HulkHogan, #TheUltimateWarrior, #RandySavage, #Sting, #LexLuger y muchos otros más admitieron ser atrapados abusando de los esteroides en el pasado. Hasta el mismísimo #VinceMcMahon fue hallado utilizando esteroides e incluso fue acusado de proveer esteroides a sus empleados a principios de los 90 (a pesar de haber sido hallado inocente). Los esteroides eran casi omnipresentes debido a la agenda intensa de trabajo, y les permitieron a los #Luchadores recuperarse de lesiones menores a tiempo para su siguiente contienda. Desde su sanitización en 2008, la #WWE creó una política #antidrogas mucho más estricta, en la cual los luchadores pueden ser sancionados, suspendidos o incluso despedidos si fallan un test de drogas. Las drogas son parte de la Lucha Libre como cualquier otra parte del mundo del espectáculo, sin embargo, no todo el mundo las utiliza. Mientras tanto, en la WWE, Layla y #Maryse son cinturones negros en varias artes marciales, #WadeBarrett fue un boxeador a puño descubierto, CM Punk estudió #MuayThai y #ShaneMcMahon estudia #boxeo y #JiuJitsuBrasileño. Otros practicantes de JJB incluyen a #EveTorres (quien está casada con un miembro de la legendaria familia Gracie), #ShaynaBaszler, #KyleOReilly, #BobbyFish y #AngeloDawkins.
