💨 Controlled hypoxemia guidelines for critically ill patients with #COPD? For non ventilated COPD patients in #ICU setting, this appear associated with increased mortality. Optimal SpO2
range appears to be 94–98% (range for critically ill patients in general). In hospitalized patients with access to SpO2 monitoring + ventilation resources, controlled hypoxemia should be reconsidered (& potentially avoided).
