Bill Gates is such a genius. PC CRT layouts are linear horizontally, but nonlinear vertically This way, a crt scanner sweeping left to right linearly can produce circular pixels that are all equidistant from each other.

And, for every individual color a circle of equidistant pairs of triangles surround it is composed of the colors it isn't. So blue is surrounded by red and green, green is surrounded by red and blue, and red is surrounded blue and green. This is so genius.
