Christians are those who refer to themselves as follows of Jesus Christ, but what does this mean? How do we follow in the footsteps of Jesus?
Jesus said that in order to become His disciple we must deny ourselves, pick up our cross, and follow Him (ref Mat 10:38; 16:24). Early Christianity was all about denying the wants and desires of our flesh to follow the example of Jesus.

To be a disciple of Christ is not just about attending church or being a good person by our own standards; it is a life set apart for God, to turn away from sin and to have a relationship with our Creator.
