Nice talk by Jon Barron at #CVPR 2023.

All the bros hanging around the Tesla booth at #cvpr like the señor frogs at spring break… as if the “machine vision” on that car hadn’t killed any people 🤮
I am starting to think that Vancouver is actually a peaceful and cordial place. These #CVPR attendees are peacefully enjoying a game of table tennis
Goodput = efficiency x throughout when training models
Good day #1 at #cvpr
Saw talks about parallel training processes, and data cleaning and processing pipelines
Very affirming to see others talk about their work, and understand most of what they were saying!
My first time at #cvpr… it is unbearably bro-y. I feel so uncomfortable, it is such a frat party. I hate it. Will not return, will not advise women to attend.
Going to be at #cvpr next week just as an attendee
Any presentations I should be looking out for?
#CVPR registration fees are usurious. How are graduate students (or even junior faculty) supposed to afford that? I guess the idea is that only corporate ppl or ppl from labs with big grants are allowed to go to CVPR?
The paper submission deadline for the CLVision workshop has been extended to March 13th.
There is still time to submit your (archival or non-archival) contribution!
Very excited to share the seven #CVPR'23 papers from our lab!
Super cool topics, including 3D diffusion models, NeRFs, faces, and 3D scenes!
Will post details about each project soon - check out the projects: https://niessnerlab.org/publications.html
Congrats to all students & collaborators :)
Continuing our paper perception polls.
What is your personal estimate of CONDITIONAL probability (NOT POSTERIOR) that paper is correct, given it is accepted to #CVPR?
Now that the #CVPR deadline is behind us, my introduction toot is incoming !
#NewOrleans bound for #CVPR! I'm really running the gamut on travel this year, guess I'm making up for lost years 😅
