Yesterday we concluded our CY_BORG campaign of 15+ sessions by rolling on the Miserable Headlines. We got a corporate hot war that devastated CY, mass incarceration of nano infected people and the rise of the Big Reset cult. My gearhead went to live with her mechanic bestie to turn her garage into a bunker, build bots and become survivalist GF. The former rich girl went back to live with her rich parents and got the bad ending while the nanomancer became a wasteland biker girl. #CY_BORG

I don’t like wearing corporate logos, especially when I can buy or have shirts made which display with my own interests. This is a image I have on a t-shirt commemorating a cyberpunk #ttrpg campaign where the players hacked a Royal West plane and had it bomb downtown and then were TPK’ed by a Renraku bunker bomb. Used #CY_BORG and #Shadworun prompts with our Named toolkit to create a very memorable experience.

2. First RPG Gamemaster:

#Cy_Borg for my in person group of dads. We’ve known each other for 12 years since our kids were in preschool and have been gaming together for the majority of that time. We spent years in #5e including lots of time in #Ravenloft. I GM’d a homebrew zombie apocalypse campaign that started before COVID and was super helpful during lockdown! (Yay #Roll20)

I got my crew more recently into rules light attitude heavy Borg games which we all love!

OMG! In my home in person game (in which I GMd for years in #5E and then in #Cy_Borg for the last year) a second player has decided to take a crack at GMing #PirateBorg for all of us.

We are moving into the blissful territory of having lots of GMs sharing the load! I’ve generally been happy being forever GM, but find it really invigorating to be able to not ALWAYS be the GM...

Any tips on managing a multi GM group from anyone lucky enough to have found that? (It’s a first for me.)

Playing #CY_BORG as a player tonight.
I successfully rebuilt Dusty with the cydroid parts (I replaced the wrist blade with a vacuum cleaner).
Tabita now have a cyber multi tool in her arm, a smart gun link and a tattoo of a siren medusa.
We are now playing the Raid apartment tower lockdown as a scenario.

@tiberianpun I also mostly GM, but I’ve been lucky to find several games and my home group #Cy_Borg players have been taking turns GMing #pirateborg, which has been nice! I haven’t heard of dragon bane (will check that out!) and definitely want to play Ironsworn!

@TheToblin for anyone interested in #OSR but not interested in gross racists or misogynists, there are Osr-adjacent communities with no tolerance for that BS! Check out #MorkBorg, #Cy_Borg, or #shadowdark. I’ve spent lots of time in those discords and the communities are inclusive and welcoming to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folk.

It is interesting that the guys in my gaming group had never heard the term #ttrpg this last weekend. We played #5e for years, then I lured them to #Cy_Borg, and now one of them is GMing #PirateBorg.

Being so tuned into the community online, I forget that many players of TTRPGs don’t really think about the genre beyond another type of game like a board game!

I am thankful for the minds who do deep dive into the TTRPG sphere and communicate about it!

@Qedhup I may be biased, as I have been GMing #Cy_BORG since last fall. My group swapped from 5e and everyone has much preferred the Borg style of play.
