@doomscroll_bot I created and added this bot to Mastodon that encourages #calmtech principles and usage of social.

Which #Indieweb #calmtech #Fediverse related web content is in RSS form but not yet on the Mastodon platform yet. Am considering making several more new official RSS-to-Mastodon bots to get good content injected into this platform that isn't here yet.

After years of trying different Mastodon apps (currently getting notifications on iOS from Metatext, Toot!, Mastodon, and on the desktop from Mastonaut and Whalebird), I tried using the Pinafore (@pinafore) progressive web app, and I think this is the one. Nice and flat, with some good #Calmtech options baked in, and a consistent experience across devices. I'm into it.

Without a parasitic #algorithm & capitalist architecture and the highly engineered shaping of our desires for fame & celebrity status, could #Mastodon be considered an example of #CalmTech?

Ok, #Fediverse: Best Mac OS Native #Mastodon app?

☑️ MUST include robust List Support and Bookmarks
☑️ Must allow you to follow public feed from other instances
☑️ Plus if it makes following remote users easier/if possible a 1 click experience...
☑️ Plus if it enables customizing to a more #calmtech less noisy or simplier experience

As I add another 100 users to this instance several times a day, I see the "why do you want to join" question we require.

It strikes me at how many note this Instance's focus on #calmtechnology as a key part, along with #OpenWeb, #IndieWeb, and #fediverse

In setting this instance up every option, I could set to use #CalmTech principals in place I did. Suspect there might be more. Will think on that.

Wonder who else has thought about that and #Mastodon
