I enjoy taking a #kayak onto the urban waterways; I “fish” out floating glass and plastics as I paddle along.

I started doing this back in #Chicago summer of 2020, when I made a weekly trip using a rental launch near North and Milwaukee Aves. Nowadays I have my own kayak that I launch from Magazine Beach in Cambridgeport. I haven’t gone out as often this year, so made sure to take a holiday paddle today

I think I like this town better when the universities are closed. No, I’m not a student. Yes, I do live here. Yes, there are jobs besides professor or cafe barista 🙄

I’m badly confused by this “worry”. The way it’s framed, one might think it’s a problem for local governments to provide funding for education nonprofits. At the same time, it sounds like demand for these services is driven by shortfalls in the public education system itself, which is funded through the same tax base. #CambridgeMA #Mathematics #education
