The traffic on Route 1 is a pain in the summer and its real estate prices are now exorbitant but it's such a beautiful town on the coast here in #Maine

This week sees 90 years since the Gorilla House at London Zoo was officially opened. Designed by Berthold Lubetkin and Tecton, it was the start of a sequence of Zoo buildings by the modernist practice. These days most of the Tecton Zoo buildings are listed but unused, reminders of our pioneering design past and our changing attitude to the animals themselves.

The #Coronation Anthem, naturally, but also the overture to #Mozart's Nozze di Figaro, impressively executed by young musicians, and #BillieEilish, why not? But the highlights for me were On Hold, by Y5 pupils & Rod Arran, and Kinetika Bloco's "Camden to the #Caribbean." Not much inspires this old hedgehog, but consider me stirred. Congratulations to all the performers. Bravo!

The last of the great Camden estates, comprising rows of terraced houses, flats, car parking and community facilities. The estate is built in concrete with pure (when completed) white walls and timber windows. The design is influenced by both 1920s German mass housing like Weissenhof estates and by the 1960s designs of Atelier 5.
