Personally I would call such individuals: Ignorant, Arrogant, Prejudiced Dingbats or SCUM!
It took YEARS for RNIB to get #TalkingBooks going.
It is ONLY because they are now so mainstream that they are affordable.
I am #sighted & #HardOfHearing so cannot use them, I need #Subtitles / #CC #LiveTranscribe #RelayUK - not a #ScreenReader.
Do such people think #AltText #CamelHump #accessibility are Woke?

Please, please, please, please when you post an image post it with AltText, more people will be able to enjoy your post and not just hear a filename read out.
Any text description is better than none, the more detailed the better though.
When you post an image there is an option to edit it, in there is where you can put descriptive text.
Also using CamelHump hashtags where each separate word is capitalised stops an unintelligible mess being read out #AltText #CamelHump #accessibility
#alttext #CamelHump #accessibility
@Cloudy AltText is text added to a picture before posting so that screen readers can read it rather than a file name and give a description of an image to the user, #CamelHump hashtags are when each word in a hashtag is capitalised which then lets a screen reader read the correctly rather than outputting gobbledygook, both make browsing more accessible for those with visual impairments
Keep seeing toots about waiting for Twitter friends coming across.
All nice and everything when they do, old friends and faces so you don't lose what you built up.
but the very best thing to do here is to jump in with both feet and make new friends!
Not all Mastodonians bite 😉
Write a post, boost posts, join in conversations, make sure you CW at appropriate times, add AltText, and use CamelHump hashtags.
