The 2000s were a wild era for phone innovation. I feel like with modern technology this thing could be super spec heavy, assuming anyone wants to carry a flip phone anymore.

Currently editing photos shot on my 2-year old phone, and comparing to those from my 9-yo "semi-pro" (whatever that means anyway) DSLR.

I realise that this is in no way a scientific comparison, but the real camera wins by a cute-metaphor-for-a-very-very-long-way. Not even close. Not even a valid comparison.

I also didn't buy the phone for it's camera capabilities (because I own actual cameras). But in challenging lighting the phone is borderline useless. High noise, poor colour reproduction, unrecoverable detail in the shadows ...

Among the many responses to the frequent question "why don't you just use a phone bro?" is the fact that an actual camera takes much much better images.

What a difference a week makes...even though it's been dull, cloudy, windy and warmish during the day, with rain at night.
The dandelions are more or less finished, and the cow parsley's taken over. The nettles in the shade are now flowering; the ones in the open are finished. It was a beautiful day today:
