Young house sparrows are just so... Cute? Like in a weirdly intentionally helpless and cute kind of way? They look like they're putting on an act and their attempts at being cute end up being cute despite being obviously on purpose.

It's a little bit funny to me that the digital image stabilizer zooms in to prepare for the big shake when the cardinal hops off screen.

The bobcat came back again last night, and this time it took a five-minute power nap directly in front of the camera trap.

My biggest complaints are that a) I get a lot of corrupted files (not sure if that’s a problem with the cards or the cameras), b) the mobile app interface is a little clunky, and c) the desktop app interface is even clunkier. None of those are dealbreakers, though.
I‘ve only had the Reolink cameras since September 2022, so I’ll see how they hold up long-term, but so far, I’ve been extremely happy with them.
This isn’t a sponsored post. I just know that it’s hard to find good wildlife cameras, and I wanted to give some information about my experience in case it’s useful to other camera trap enthusiasts.

It’s been a great fit for me, and I was happy enough with it that I bought more for myself and my parents. They’re compatible with high-capacity micro SD cards, so I’ve never run out of space; they’re rechargeable, so I’m not constantly using AA batteries; and they can be used with solar panels, so some of them have gone months without needing to be plugged into an outlet.
The cameras connect to my phone via Wi-Fi, so I can watch animals live, download footage remotely, and re-aim the cameras. Obviously that wouldn’t be a useful feature if I had the cameras set up in the woods, outside of Wi-Fi range, but it’s perfect for use in my yard.
