On 16 December 1929, the His Majesty's Airship R100 conducted its first flight. Designed by Barnes Wallis, it later flew a successful trans-Atlantic journey and was photographed over the Canadian Bank of Commerce building in Toronto, which was the then-highest building in the British Empire. Wallis would later invent the bouncing bomb used by RAF Dambusters in 1943. #Trivia #BarnesWallis #HMAirshipR100 #TransAtlanticJourney #CanadianBankofCommerce #BritishEmpire #RAFDambusters #BouncingBomb
