Hey, folks! Happy New Year! May this year be better than the last, even though 2022 set a pretty low bar.

I thought for my first post if 2023, I would do the intro post that never happened.

Hi! I'm Kattni (she/her).

I'm #neurodivergent, and do my best to be open about it. This isn't the post for details, but I'm happy to write up a future post with more on that subject.

I am a photographer, programmer, mentor, maker, intermittent chef, one-time gardener, reluctant step-parent, and loved wife. I am tolerated by two cats who continue to let me live with them.

I am newly married to my wife! It was always in the works, but extenuating circumstances bumped the timeline up to imminent. I managed to pull everything together in a week or so, and it all worked out better than I could have imagined.

I've done various public speaking engagements, including being the 2019 keynote speaker at PyOhio, even though it terrifies me.

I recently got a new camera that I'm super excited about! #CanonR5 So many new features means a steep learning curve, but I'm here for it. Haven't had much time to work with it yet, but I'm learning as I go based on what the situation requires. (I bought a #Canon7D in 2011, and that's the camera from which I'm upgrading.)

Professionally, I am sponsored by #Adafruit to work on the #CircuitPython project. I am an open source community leader, technical writer, new contributor coordinator, embedded software developer, CircuitPython library codebase manager, and embedded hardware designer.

There's obviously significantly more to me than this, but I struggled to even manage to put this together, so for now, it'll have to do!
