But now I think I better understand how much of different path #CapCut took: way simpler tools but shinier transitions and effects and everything else OOTB. More IG and TikTok, less Netflix, basically. Can't say I hate that, really.
I'll need to make a few more tutorials, that should help me get a better feel for these tools.

Like, never do it again this way, and that #CapCut (macOS) is kinda cool yet weird, and "weird" is winning at the moment (by quite a margin).

760 followers · 2499 posts · Server norden.socialThe #CapCut video editor is … interesting. In many ways, it's much nicer than iMovie (transitions, text, effects etc.), in others it's way worse (shortcuts, UI, why can't I adjust the track height?).
Currently editing my next #ObsidianMD tutorial in CapCut, and it definitively feels like a huge gamble. YOLO, I guess

Why would they include copyrighted music if you're not allowed to use it? Kind of counter-productive...
I have to edit the video all over again, because the music was part of the original audio, meaning me talking during the intro was also muted.

At the same time it shows an absolute disregard for anything macOS. No full screen, weird menu structure, no fullscreen, can't be hidden (!!), minuscule settings dialog… I could go on. Which is a shame because it brings *a lot* of good stuff to the table.
