Kirk, Spock & McCoy are my favourite poly relationship ever. Messy epic.

So, S02E14 'Wolf in the Fold' starts with Captain Kirk organising a sex worker gift for his Cheif Engineer Scott before launching into a Ripper-esque whodunit. Because the 60s? Space? Reasons. #StarTrek #Scotty #TheOriginalSeries #CaptainKirk #SexWorkIsWork

I'm currently on 'Metamorphosis' S02E09, and the more I watch Star Trek TOS the more Chris Pine appeals to me as Captain Kirk. It's not that I disliked the casting, I thought Pine was great. Pine just makes more sense to me against a familiarity of Shatner's entire peformance rather than just the top notes, if that makes sense. Or rather, revisiting TOS has made me appreciate Pines performance as Kirk even more. Not as an improvement on Shatner, I don't mean that. Pine managed to pick up something essentially Kirk far more subtle than the big character beats. He's becoming my favourite recast entirely!
