Being a carer will certainly cost you emotionally, physically, mentally, and financially. But it doesn't have to be this way.
The decimation of support for our loved ones, along with the denial of rights for carers has led us to where we are today...

Carers' commitment & dedication is awe-inspiring – it's time they got the recognition they deserve. It's also important this #CarersRightsDay to know your rights & protect your wellbeing so you can carry on protecting others 👇

#CaringCosts carers. It costs them their finances, health, wellbeing, relationships & more. That’s why it’s so important carers know their rights and can get support.

It's #CarersRightsDay today. So here's a shout out to all #carers, paid and unpaid, and those who aren't YET carers (most of us will be at some point in our lives).
Please #boost this #toot to make sure #carers know their rights www.carersuk.org/news-and-campaigns/carers-rights-day/find-out-about-your-rights #thursday

I didn't realise it was the UK's #CarersRightsDay today until I received an email from a fellow carer, #PennyWincer. So here's a shout out to all #carers, paid and unpaid, where ever you are. We deserve to be heard, and the support of others, including those who aren't yet carers, helps. Let's take strength from each other and make sure we know what our rights are at www.carersuk.org/news-and-campaigns/carers-rights-day/find-out-about-your-rights #thursday

Chris has shared a day in his life to help raise awareness of the reality of what #CaringCosts for #CarersRightsDay.

It's #CarersRightsDay. The annual opportunity for MPs to hold up their bits of card saying they support us. How worthy they must feel and how little bloody use they are. #autism #epilepsy #FragileX #hypermobility

In the run up to Carers Rights Day (24th November) I often hear #carers saying that it's such a pointless day because in Scotland (and the rest of the UK) they seemingly have no rights.
This makes me sad and angry.
The issue isn't that Carers have no rights, it's the fact that those in positions of power and authority refuse to acknowledge those rights!
Demand your rights.
