Car manufacturer Stellantis opened a €40M EV battery tech centre in Italy.
The Mirafiori Battery Technology Centre is 8,000 square metres in total, which makes it the largest battery testing facility in Italy, and one of the largest in Europe.
The move is part of a plan to expand battery building capacity to 400GWh — and significantly reduce battery weight.

It's called "tied selling" and it still happens often.
If you finance a car through a dealer, demand to see the call sheet so you can see the dealer's buy rate. That's the rate the bank gave them for your loan. They will often mark this up for extra profit.
