Jetzt 30 Minuten zweieinhalb Stunden und hingerissen von allem. Ruhig, extrem gut gespielt. Strotzt vor Feinheiten und Nuancen, also ideal für Wesen, die sich auf Mustererkennung und Komplexitätsreduktion spezialisiert haben.

Caught up with #RichardLinklater and watched “Where’d You Go, Bernadette.”

A comedy/drama about a famous architect played by #CateBlanchett who disappeared from the scene for 20 years and deals with the mess of her life. Although her life is filled with foibles most of it is due to how other people treat her and her social anxiety. As an #actuallyautistic artist and parent I related a lot to her.

Also as an #autisticparent I connected with the mother/daughter relationship. The daughter is so protective of her socially challenged mother that so many scenes threatened my heart. It reminded me of my kids.

And of course #BillyCrudup was great as the struggling husband who cares a little too much about others’ views. It all wraps up nicely.

Just back from #Tãr 🤔 Lots of longeurs for the first 2 hours, slow, methodical layering of character and plot, but the last act is magnificent. Your choice whether it's real or imagined (who took the bound volume of Mahler 5...??) Is it #CateBlanchett's best performance? Those last 30 mins might nab her the #Oscar. #Cancelled

I didn't like the movie either.

Blanchett is getting raves for her performance which I thought was good (can't say it was the "best" even though she's already won a Golden Globe and Critic's Choice award for it) but I wanted to see/hear her conduct more music.

The fact that she was a symphony conductor turned out to be enitrely irrelevant to the story, which was disappointing to me.

Watched #Tár last night. Another Oscar for #CateBlanchett.
