As a native Iowan I am focusing on the elections there. Iowa is a bellwether/canary in the coal mine. Kim Reynolds - the governor - was hand selected to give the SOTU response. It wasn't a mistake. The policy violence being meted out by the right wing GOP is breathtaking and often was passed before Florida or TX even got going. It matters. It also matters as #Journalists and #Editors start thinking about #Caucuses (god help us all)
