In the last 7 weeks, AAFC's Earth Observation team & our local helpers, have been driving the backroads across Canada, ID'ing crops where we don't have access to crop insurance information so we can create our 2023 Annual Crop Inventory Map.

This year we have over 57,000 pts to work with.

Very proud of of team and their hard work and dedication.😍

2022 Crop Inventory maps for both Saskatchewan & Manitoba are done.

Keen observers will note class 130 in our MB map (periwinkle colour). 130 shows our 'too wet to seed' class.

This completes the eastern half of Canadian agriculture for .

The team has had numerous issues outside of our control slow us down this winter. We're definitely running behind where we typically would be. But we're continuing to push through as best as we can.
