By some accounts #Scáthach was also a formidable magician with the gift of prophecy. By other accounts she became the Celtic goddess of the dead, ensuring the passage of those killed in battle to Tír na nÓg, the Land of Eternal Youth and the most popular of the #Otherworlds in Celtic #mythology.

Scáthach was a legendary warrior queen of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Brave youth would travel to her fortress of Dún Scáith, which translates to Castle of Shadows, in hopes that she would train them.
