In the clip published by ABC News (second link) the anchorperson says they're at 3000 ft, but that disagrees massively with the altimeter which (although blurry) can be seen reading 900-1000 ft. (It's ~900 ft at 0:23 in that video, for example.)

@markarayner If this actually is a real photo, I do wonder if it can fall under the "careless and reckless manner" of operating aircraft which is prohibited pretty much worldwide. (Certainly in both the US and in EASA-land, the latter translating pretty well to the EU.)

Settled in for a nice cross-country flight from KSOP to Yazoo City MS, with a stopver in Rome GA.

Unfortunately the laptop crashed as I approached Charlotte.

Think it's a issue and not Flightgear.

Either way, the laptop crashed and not me!

A recent Diamond fatal on go-around at my local airport continues to haunt me every time I sit at my computer (joystick and pedals are always "ready") , and daily as I drive by the airport

Erstes Leg ist geschafft. Trotz tiefen Wolken habe ich einen Weg nach LSZR gefunden.

Zweites Leg startet um 13:30 in den Schweizer Jura. Flugplan ist gemacht, da grenzüberschreitender Flug entlang dem Rhein.

First time flying in Australia, first time flying the with @fivepointaviation.

It's awesome to think that only a few years ago I started learning to fly with @aerogavina to now flying in a completely different continent. The aviation community is just amazing and welcoming wherever your travels take you. Definitely worth looking up aviation schools wherever you travel to.
