Finally watched “42” (with #ChadwickBoseman and #HarrisonFord ) last night, partly because of #BlackHistoryMonth and partly because I’m really, really ready for #baseball season to get started this year.

My review of #WakandaForever:

It was good, I guess. It was very #Marvel. Not a disappointment, and some cool moments, but it didn't hit me like the first movie, in part because of the moral ambiguity that Killmonger brought to the first film. This is more like a remake of Thunderball with Shuri as Bond. That said, the characters I love (#Shuri, #Okoye, etc.) are still awesome. And the homage to #ChadwickBoseman had me wiping away tears.

Given the tragic loss of #ChadwickBoseman, it's an achievement that we have a #BlackPanther sequel at all; particularly one that has a cohesive plot.

It pays tribute to Chadwick without being manipulative, but unfortunately ends up being overshadowed and overburdened in dealing with that loss.

Ultimately we get a pretty average #Marvel movie, which is lacking in surprises or wow moments. #Namor is definitely the highlight.

I saw #BlackPantherWakandaForever today: The #BlackPanther corner of the #MCU is the least MCU of the sprawling franchise. So when we get to the by the numbers pyrotechnics, it’s the least interesting part of the film. Now to the good:
It’s a credit to the incredible artistry of #ChadwickBoseman that his presence is so palpable.

I took my two oldest girls (15 & 13) to see Black Panther #WakanaForever last night. The story was great. The special effects were amazing. The death of #ChadwickBoseman was handled very tastefully. Not recasting his roll was definitely the right decision. It was a touching tribute to the late actor.

Am Ende gab es sogar Applaus. Ich hab #WakandaForever    jetzt Mal 4 von 5 Sternen gegeben, weil ich doch ein paar Längen entdeckt hab. Auf jeden Fall ein würdiges Vermächtnis für #ChadwickBoseman.

I saw #WakandaForever a 2nd time tonight. Still a great movie. Knowing what was going to happen let me breathe better through the emotional parts and just feel. Ryan Coogler did an amazing job writing a story that did so much. #BlackPanther #ChadwickBoseman
