Here we are. It's the last game of #ChampionshipSaturday during this year's #SportsPuck #TourneyTime : Boys' Edition.

For Class AA the final contest is between two teams, neither of which have ever won the state title before!

The jersey was my uncle's from a Snoopy Seniors World Tournament (https://www.snoopyshomeice.com/sr-tournament). I don't remember if this is from one of the years his team won (he's been on a winning team several time).

The Class A State Champions are the Hermantown Hawks!!!

They won 3-2 over the Warroad Warriors (who need a new mascot).

Hermantown shut down the Warroad star and after an end-to-end first period the Hawks settled in and controlled the rest of the game. It felt like Warroad could have tied it up but I'm not surprised Hermantown won.

Congratulations Hawks!

Andover takes it 5-4

That. Was. Incredible.

Andover only lost one game in the last two years, which was the championship last year. Perfect season for them this year.

Drama and goal reviews and penalties and weird bounces. Score going back and forth. WHEEEEE!

I'm not thrilled at maskless crowds, but the energy in the building makes a huge difference. Teenagers hyped up makes the emotions ooze out of the TV and I just drink it all up.

*There* are the emotions on both sides that I crave. I start crying by proxy every time

Interesting that they have the coaches put the medals on this year so they can do the ceremony but don't have strangers that close to breathing player air?

Warroad coach had his two captains hand them out instead. It was adorable. Then they gave him his medal, too. What a fun way to do it.
