Beheaded in 1675 AD on orders of the #Mughal ruler #Aurangzeb for opposing the oppressive policies of the #MughalEmpire towards non Muslims.
On the site of his beheading now stands the #Gurudwara #SisGanj at #ChandniChowk #Delhi opposite #RedFort
This 1790 AD #Pahari #Painting (#GuruTegBahadur) is by Nikka son of #Nainsukh of #HimachalPradesh (#Punjab Hills).
