Sfinj! A #Hannukah treat from Morocco. They are yeasty bready and only sweetened by the optional suger dredge. A 10 hour rise/ferment time gives them an extra yeasty scent.

First up is Tostones! These fried and smashed plantains are a go to for Latin American Jews on Hanukkah and are WAY easier to make than #latkes.

Heute entzünden nicht nur Christen die 4. Kerze am Adventskranz, sondern auch #Juden am Abend die 1. Kerze an der #Chanukkia. Ich vermute, dass sich Wichern das #Channuka-Ritual als Vorbild nahm, jedenfalls ähnelt das von ihm ausgearbeitete Adventsritual dem sehr.
