... less than a minute before they're about to hit us. They grudgingly pick up anchor, nearly reversing into us in the process and finally find a more sensible spot in the ample space available.

This is why nobody likes charter boats. It's okay to misjudge it, we all do sometimes. But it's not okay to be an asshole about it. Just pick it up and try again. Maybe even take advice from those who've been living it for years.

How to anchor like a #CharterBoat

1. Drive into anchorage at top speed, almost mowing down a few swimmers.

2. Find most obnoxious spot in front of everyone, too close to at least two boats and on top of someone's chain.

3. Winch down anchor because you can't figure out how the clutch works or don't know even know there is one.

4. Don't use more than 1.5x the depth in chain nor bother setting the anchor, just turn off engine.

5. Party time! Ignore anchor dragging and shouting.
