Immediately after a missile hit a residential building in Kharkiv, WCK arrived with fresh meals & warm drinks for families impacted & first responders working to rescue survivors from the rubble. The blast caused widespread damage, killing at least one person.

While delivering meal kits to a small village in the #Kherson Oblast, the #WCK team met a young child playing in a set of ruins.

"Here I have a kitchen—here is a room with a TV and a sofa," he shared. "When I grow up, I want to be a builder to fix up houses." #ChefsForUkraine #Ukraine

It’s common for people picking up #WCK food kits in Ukraine to come by bike—some ride for 30 minutes each way for the support.

The kits are heavy, full of items including flour, rice, oil, canned meat & veggies, and tea—enough to last families between deliveries.

As horrific attacks on residential neighborhoods in #Ukraine continue, WCK teams are working to ensure children still have moments of joy this holiday season. This week, we gave out coloring books & sweets (like cotton candy!) to kids celebrating St Nicholas Day.
