This is the last one, honest. I've been reflecting on my childhood & adult life prior to me being an #RMN then #Disabled. I spent many years out of work & desperately trying to find work & I can't help thinking having a #ChildrensHome as one of my childhood addresses had a detrimental affect on my prospects Many see children in care as criminals. In reality Kids are put in care mostly through no fault of their own. That is my penny's worth. I am who I am despite my childhood. Thanks for reading.
After the #ChildrensHome closed I ended up in #FosterCare...which was more of a nightmare than the Home as my '#FosterParents' didn't trust .e and didn't want me around. Thankfully the pastor of my Church saved me and I lived with his family for a couple of years. After that I went to Uni and confused the Coucil as to how they should support me (they were meant to act as a responsible parent) because they had not come across a child from care going to uni before.
