This year, more than ever, is about #survival food, #potatoes, #beans, #cabbage, #broccoli, #sweetcorn, and #onions on the #allotment. In the #garden plot we will be growing #tomatoes, #carrots, #lettuce and #radish. In the #greenhouse we will be growing #tomatoes, #sweetpeppers and #chillies. Stuff that gets eaten quickly, can be dried, stored or left standing in the ground. Got to make my £20 a year rent produce for us!

The last of the hot stuff? Not quite.
Our chilli crop is coming to an end. There are still some Golden Cayenne on the plants, but I picked the last 4 Habaneros (on the left) and most of the remaining Chocolate Chillies (on the right) this morning. If you're into hot chillies and haven't tried them I can recommend Chocolate Chillies, they're vicious, but a perfect substitute for Grannies Bonnets if want something hotter! 🌶😫

Did I mention I have a bit of a chilli problem 😊 ? I harvested a few kilos from my allotment last weekend, lots are now dried or frozen. I can feel a lot of fermenting, jams and sauces coming up 😋 🌶️
