If you are into historical maps have a look at #Chronoscope yourselves.

For me it is best working in a webbrowser on a larger screen than my mobile phone offers. It does work with browsers on small mobile screens as well, it's just smaller and more fiddly to handle. And maps work better on large screens anyway 🙂
