i've tried #element, #cinny and #fluccyChat for #matrix
i actually prefer element. feels weird to prefer the most common thing for once.
i think it's most common, isn't it?
#element #Cinny #fluccychat #matrix
It should be noted that #cinny is fully responsive. This is one of the merits against Element Web, which is really not usable on mobile browsers.
I'm trying #cinny to replace #element as a daily #matrix client because not only it is one of the featured clients with beautiful and consistent UI, but also I've been really fed up with governance of vector-im, to which I had essentially provided just free labor.
If you like a simple UI centered on text based communication without a bunch of features such as widget and thread, cinny should be a better choice than Element, though the client seems to lack basic features like permalink.
#Cinny improved a bit from when I last experimented with it and now works with both drag-and-drop and copy-paste, but supports sending only a single image at a time...
(I intended to hack on it a few months ago, but the new CLA allowing relicensing to non-GPL licenses turned me away 🙁)
@ChrisWere Do you think it's the protocol that makes it feel this way or the client UX?
#matrix #element #fluffychat #Cinny
Can somebody with more legal expertise than me check the #Cinny CLA?
It looks fine to me, but there might be some weird loopholes that allow bypassing the AGPL in it, so I want to be sure before signing it...
The document is the following:

@deepbluev7 Not sure these are recommendations but I sure like #FluffyChat and #Cinny 😎
oh, didn't realize there was #cinny desktop https://github.com/cinnyapp/cinny-desktop #matrix
@thisisfilber7 Either #Element or #Cinny depending on the day and what I need to do.
(Both use quite a bit of RAM...)
Currently testing #cinny as new #matrix client. (https://cinny.in/)
It is a lot cleaner compared to element and I like it.
@ChrisWere
Didn't vote as I love both. @xmpp is stable and proven, with dev happening in a more decentralized, community based manner. @matrix seems to be developing faster, with advanced use cases (eg. #thirdroom ), greater adoption, more polished and well maintained clients (eg #Element, #FluffyChat, #Schildichat, #Cinny etc)
Watching #Dino and #Snikket on #XMPP for usability and #ElementX on #Matrix. All need to be friendlier/less technical for new users.
Both better than #WalledGardens!
#walledgardens #matrix #elementx #xmpp #snikket #dino #Cinny #schildichat #fluffychat #element #ThirdRoom
Huh. Uploading emojis on #Cinny seems to have broken #FluffyChat's emoji settings panel...
Uploading emojis? Both #Cinny and #FluffyChat support adding and using custom emojis in rooms!
#Element sadly only supports displaying them, and has no way to either add or use them yet...

Les services https://element.underworld.fr et https://cinny.underworld.fr (clients web Matrix) ont été mis à jour.
@postmarketOS
sadly it seems to be dead. did not work well on ppp fir me either.
