I will do @eladhen 's #SeptembeRPG. I find the prompts more interesting than #RPGaDay2023 's.

1. Great ttrpg 1st played this year.

I don't have anything in that category. And the two last great games I played before 23 are unpublished. And before that, I am not so sure. So I'll fall back to #CityOfMist which I started in April 22, which is really great and my 22's game of the year. Campaign starting back next week, I can't wait!

It will also fit quite nicely with prompt #2 🙂

A game I wish I owned? I'd love to have all the B module series. And Hot Spring Island.
A favorite game system? I'm pretty comfortable with 5e, but the #CityOfMist engine is, as of now, my favorite system to drive character evolutions and to put the spotlight where it matters and, above all, where we want it to be.

The one that best fits the game, and us, players (gm included).

However, I have a few sets of rules I like very much. I usually like #pbta games. #bitd Blades in The Dark also. And #BelongingOutsideBelonging games. #CityOfMist is my 2022 game of the year. It will hold my thoughts for a while, yet. #CortexPrime is a great toolbox, very versatile, far quicker to fit efficiently to a game idea than pbta/bitd. And of course I like my own #ancolie quite much.

Favorite character? One of mine? I don't have any. I loved many of them, almost all of them. And those I didn't, I forgot everything about.
But who says they should be mine?
My partners playef some astounding characters throughout the years. Rather than picking some almost at random, I'll pick those I think about the most these days: the #CityOfMist trio: Jayden, Jamichael and Bill. I love these guys. I love how they love each other.

But for now, my main itch is still firmly anchored between two games, 5E and #CityOfMist, that I have already played a ton.

As for my first game GMed, I *think* it was Paranoia. Then MERP, probably.

This year, my first game GMed was #CityOfMist, two different campaigns in the same shared-city, loosely derived from Shadowrun's Denver, pre-awakening. One ended ealry this year, with a bang. The other is still going strong.

@eladrin @BigJackBrass The thing is, I prefer smaller books. Even #Lyonesse (which I helped write) doesn’t get looked at physically because it’s too damn big and I’m sure you can remember my rants about the first edition of the #CityofMist #ttrpg in it’s telephone directory edition. And the less said about #TravellerT5 before it was split into three books, the better.
