I like this piece by @andrewdessler on the inequality that people face in dealing with #climateImpacts.
I'm afraid I too often say things like "we can adapt" without adding the obvious caveat "but there's going to be suffering which will overwhelmingly affect already disadvantaged groups"
The Danish #ClimateAtlas isxat least an attempt to make sure everyone has the same high quality information freely available. But that doesn't mean the same capacity to act on it
@dezene @largess Additional regional information can also be found in our #ClimateAtlas (#Germany). It also provides plots with a combined view on observed and projected climate for the federal states: https://www.dwd.de/EN/climate_environment/climateatlas/climateatlas_node.html
Plot for Baden-Württemberg:
DMI recently signed a memorandum with the Ghanaian met service to develop a #ClimateAtlas for #ClimateAdaptation in #Ghana.
It's sorely needed.

@hansbrenna @AlaskaWx @hereidk there is a lot of work going on now in the #ClimateServices space about this. We have done a tonne of work with all sorts of different users and communities in Denmark in the building up of our #KlimaAtlas (#Danish #ClimateAtlas) it's been a very interesting but yes definitely iterative process!

This is a really cool thread on how to approach changes in #risk from #Hurricanes by @hereidk - really very familiar discussion from our Danish #ClimateAtlas work.
The hard bit is not the #science it's understanding what the question actually is..
