I mean, it makes sense in a way due to the prevalence of phones and digital clock read-outs, but still... What are they learning in schools? 😮

A couple old basic wall #clocks. Red one didn't run, green one ran slow/would stick. The mechanisms are pretty simple, so a bit of fun for my youngest (6) - he wanted to see how it works! So we took them apart together, and ended up fixing both.
Well, put the arms on crooked at first, also I snapped the second hand off the green one, but... they both are telling time again.
I also have a little skeleton clock with a broken suspension spring on the wall, a task for another day.

Hi #histodons Anyone know what this might be? It’s not right as a pendant so thought it might be a clock weight? It’s about 4cm and made of pewter/lead type metal with a silver wash that’s worn away.
