This looks really poor. We need to have confidence that police forces are treating incidents with the seriousness they deserve. 213/286 (74%) reports resulting in no further action does not do that, and suggests undue leniency from #WMPolice.

Hopefully the last police report of the year, but it's a bad one - riding yesterday, the driver of an SUV passed me with centimetres to spare. All because they couldn't wait a couple of seconds for the oncoming lane to be clear for a safe pass.

This better not be just a warning letter.

Back in May, an impatient driver undertook another, close passing me in the process. After I reported it, the driver was offered an awareness course/conditional offer but they refused. So, it went to court!

I was informed of the result this morning: pled guilty, received four points, and ordered to pay a total of £149.

The decision to refuse the initial offer probably doesn't look so smart now!
