FWIW, I get this #Cloudflare thing when trying to follow anyone on mastodon.lol from test accounts on other boxes (which I don't admin) as well - I think the issue is a little more widespread.

@sambonbonne Mmm, maybe. I was wondering about spinning up an openvpn on the server itself but it seems like a really daft frig.

IMO #Cloudflare should be dealing with API-based (JSON-requested?) interstitials a lot more gracefully. Maybe it does, maybe this is a configuration error, I've never used it.

More info: curl mastodon.lol's webfinger works from some places, throws a 401 from others with #cloudflare interstitial yelling "mastodon.lol needs to review the security of your connection before proceeding." full of tasty javascript.

Right, I've got further with debugging a #Mastodon follow issue (this with following any users on mastodon.lol) and it looks like #Cloudflare throws an interstitial their-end to "verify the connection is secure". This basically means my users can't follow any users on mastodon.lol.

Anyone come across how to fix this (I'm assuming it needs to 'not-a-bot' captcha at cloudflare's end but my servers are console-only, no browsers installed so no graphics...).

Any clues please, #mastoadmin pals?
