Nope, it's happening out of incognito, and even when I'm using NetworkFirst... maybe something is fucky with my #AWS deployment. I'm using https://arc.codes and https://enhance.dev. I think I set this one up without #cloudfront, just #apiGateway.
Any @enhance_dev folks around today? @macdonst @tbeseda @brianleroux @kristoferjoseph ?

Please do not use #eventBrite.
It is 'reverse-proxied' by an #Amazon service called #CloudFront*. Reverse-proxy means it unencrypts all traffic to "ensure quality of service". Back when encryption of sites was a basic priority this would be called #spyware, or a #ManInTheMiddleAttack.
Consider #DFCA to block the dot-'cons' and their spyware.
* not to be confused with #CloudFlare, which does the same and is equally bad.

Du könntest entweder diesbezüglich nachfragen bei #WebGo oder das selbst überprüfen mit einem anderen #Browser wie #Firefox(mit Plugin) oder #Vivaldi(Desktop & Mobil kann das standardmäßig). 😉

You can see how it works from the browser's "View source" feature. "view-source:http://localarea…" (Line 43)
It is possible to access the API without JS.
What we will like to see in the near future is the downgrade of Amazon (and #Cloudfront!) served sites, #Akamai, Azure, and #Google sites.

Bilderlos wie der Shop der Buchhandlung #Heymann sehen viele Webseiten aus, wenn der Zugriff auf den Dienst #cloudfront des Molochs amazon blockiert wird. Obwohl ich mich bemühe "kleinere" Buchhandlungen zu unterstützen, ist Heymann damit raus und für mich nicht mehr relevant.

1) In a new #TorBrowser tab, hit Ctrl+Shift+E for the #NetworkTab.
2) Load website.
3) Order fetched content in NetworkTab by #domainName then check each domain. Ensure that Server is not Cloudflare (or #AmazonS3 = #CloudFront = #amz and MS #azure).
If its bad, make a BLOK bookmark, if good make ALOW bookmark. Date it (eg. feb'22) so after a year you can test it again.

We're quite certain that we checked it a year or so ago and it was not doing this — we would hate to have to boycott SoundCloud too but it seems we have no option.

Here's a question: would you say that #reverseProxies are a #naturalMonopoly, there's only a few in the world, right?
How did #Cloudflare and #Cloudfront secure such dominant positions in that space? Real ingenuity or connections to power? Cloudflare seems to be a beneficiary of #wallStreet bailouts during the #GFC.
