we're getting such better engagement on #cohost on our normie accounts and almost as significant more engagement on #mastodon on our kink accounts but my kink twitter will outperform them both combined
i think this is partially because i'm way more established on cohost and arguably part of the elite upper echelon but it doesn't explain why my kink account is more active than my normie account on mastodon

My usage of social media rn:

#Twitter is the only place were more than a dozen people interact with my posts regularly in any way, but it's falling appart and posting to it makes me feel miserable.

Browsing #Tumblr is fun but posting to it doesn't come naturally.

#Cohost feels cozier than Tumblr but it doesn't do as good a job at showing me new people to follow and rn I don't have the energy to look for people myself :S

#artfol makes me happy but I don't see myself growing much via it

@cwebber Aside from the 'better because it's centralized' bit, I agree with the cohost support.

It *is* better than all of the major commercial social networks... or at least it would be if it could be sustainable.

(Better in the sense that it does not accelerate the decay of civilization by feasting on the souls of its victims/users.)
