The Auto-Asphyxiating Hierophant by #Coil is one of the most wonderful tracks created in the realm of #industrial or #experimental music. Listened to #BlueRats by #Coil on the drive home tonight. It’s such a genius little track with how well all the elements fit in together. It’s funny how your mind imagines a beat when thinking of it, but there is none. At least not one based on percussions.

I've been listening to #WelcomeOblivion by #TrentReznor's #HowToDestroyAngels (named after an album by #Coil) and I'm struggling to decide whether it's more or less intriguing than #NIN's latest material.

The tone is far more interesting, but somehow vocally would need a little more oomph, especially from #Mariqueen. A little more drama. By that I don't necessarily mean Reznorish screaming, but just a bit more spice. See #DieForm #VoltaicControlSystem for a wonderful example, or #MIA.
