Is there a good #ColonySim #game or is it the nature of the genre that it can only be so overall good?

They're either fundamentally broken, punishingly difficult or reach a sense of futility, or... they too easily reach a point of ennui where you don't see the point of continuing.

They're also huge time sucks...

But the more I think of it, the more I think that's the whole nature of the genre. If it's easy, it's boring, if it's hard, it's depressing.

I really like #ColonySim games, but man, are they a #TimeSuck.The wide majority of time is spent constantly rearranging my ship to accommodate some new need. All the while trying to build two new ships. #SpaceHaven
