I'd been familiar with the #CommunityDemocracyProject (https://communitydemocracyproject.org) and their #PeoplesBudget, but this ties it into a broader movement towards functionally democratic cities, repairing the damage wrought by regulatory capture and conservative obstructionism-by-design.
