Thanks to #ConcertArchives I'm again reminded of a time when I enjoyed a great #gig, though this time it's made me feel my age.

30 years ago tonight I stood in #Portsmouth's Pyramids, sadly a #venue no more, and saw #Suede tear up the temporary stage.

They were, and all these years later still are, a great live act (and, if you see them on their current tour, do check out #support acts #DesperateJournalist & #Sprints).

A timely reminder from the #ConcertArchives app that, 31 years ago today, I saw Liverpudlian #indie outfit The Farm at #Portsmouth's Guildhall.

Remembered by most as "that band that did that 'altogether' tune" they remain, after three decades, the loudest live act I've seen.

The #volume started to increase during the pre-set #music, then went from loud to distorted to downright painful during the band's set.

Honestly, my ears were ringing for days afterwards...
