After a more thorough investigation: I used a Twitter List to follow my academic/science friends in #ConservationGenetics and it actually works like Mastodon feed! No "recommendations" from people I follow or anything like that. What people like does not show. Just retweets and original tweets!

The home feed is trashy as usual because it prioritise showing highly-engaged topics I do not wish to engage.

Sitting here looking at the terminal window waiting very impatiently for my #RADseq analysis to finish. This is my second library (the first enzyme combo produced too many fragments). If this one fails, I'm doomed as there's no more $$ for a third try.
