Pro-tip: these Hikigiri scissors made by Nakabayashi are my favorite general-purpose scissors. You can find them on eBay for ~$10. The curved top cutting edge increases both mechanical advantage and the length of the cut. The blades are scalloped out on the inside which reduces friction and binding against the cut material. These two attributes make cutting with them so much more effective and pleasurable than your replacement level shears. #scissors #protips #tools #japanese #cooltools
